Message	Upgrades (specifically just the turbos) actually improve your gas mileage if you don't ever get it into boost because of the increased volumetric efficiency and because with larger snails you don't get it up into boost as often just on regular cruising accel. I got around 28 mpg during easy highway driving with my old tt. Around town though, ya, you burn through a crap load of gas. It's worth it though ;).
